A few weeks ago, I had the distinct pleasure of taking a seat at the showing of Peter Langner’s 2018 Bridal Collection in NYC as part of Bridal Fashion Week. This collection marks Peter’s 25th anniversary in the bridal and fashion industries. And, in every way, his creations live up to this milestone celebration. As the models gracefully whispered by, the details of each silhouette reminded us why Peter is seen as a star in the bridal world.
The relaxed and serenely romantic way the collection was presented kept everyone in attendance anxious to see the next design come down the runway. Elegant fabrics in a variety of neutral tones (less the collection-opening blush gown with black detail), skillful asymmetrical draping, subtle patterns and myriad unexpected details are the keywords for these feminine works of bridal art. Sheer sleeves and stoles embellished with porcelain florets… yes, tiny sculptures of petals were embroidered to the sheer fabrics and were an unexpected detail that are even more stunning up close. For the more contemporary bride or the perfect ensemble for late night dancing, Peter includes a strapless jumpsuit paired with a tulle illusion t-shirt embellished with these porcelain blossoms.
Diaphanous to refined, elegant and sweet, dramatic to femininely subtle and chic… Peter Langner’s 2018 Bridal Collection embraces every bride looking for just the right design for her big day!
